INCERT at ICAO TRIP 2026

Secure borders and seamless travel are no longer a trade-off.
At ICAO TRIP 2026 in Montreal, that was the starting point.

From September 22–24, Elsa Alvaro Reigado and Gaëtan Pradel, PhD represented INCERT and Luxembourg.

Two takeaways stood out:
⚫ Digital Travel Credentials are moving from pilots to deployment. The challenge is now operational: issue them securely and verify them at any border.
⚫ Interoperability decides everything. A credential only has value if every state can validate its chain of trust.

Each of these checks depends on the cryptographic trust behind national identity documents. INCERT has secured that layer since 2012.
